Shingal – Another mass grave with victims of the terrorist militia “Islamic State” has been discovered by combat units in Shingal region. In Hamedan, just a few kilometres east of Shingal city, fighters found a mass grave containing the remains of 60 other Yezidis killed by the IS. The number of Yezidis found in mass graves thus rises to 190 within a single day.

Yesterday combat units discovered a mass grave containing the remains of 80 Yezidi women. Today another was found with around 50 Yezidi victims. The third with 60 people follows now. Moreover, there is information on more mass graves in the south which, however, have not been verified yet. The IS perpetrated massacres particularly in the south during its genocide against the Yezidis.

17 Yezidi mass graves have been discovered in total, 14 of which were discovered in the north of Shingal region earlier this year.
